Brian Stone is a creative video producer-editor and short promotional content, trailer, and commercial specialist.
He started by launching a basement videography business in high school, earning some lunch money while completing a B.A. in Film and Television from Penn State University, with enough left over to afford pizza slices while studying Cinematography at New York University.
His industry experience began at The Orphanage, a visual effects company headquartered in San Francisco. As a member of the business development team, he supported sales and marketing initiatives and assisted with landing the contracts for effects-driven blockbuster films Sin City and Iron Man.
His next stop was Stun Creative as a producer for the agency, delivering hundreds of promos, sizzles, and main title sequences that spanned the cable dial. He managed and collaborated with ultra-talented graphic designers, animators, and editors on spots for FX, Bravo, Investigation Discovery, History, and Nickelodeon, including the ProMaxDBA Award-winning work for FX’s Louie and the FX Movie Channel brand identities.
Later, as a freelance creative operative, he combined promotional producing experience with video editing skills to help boutique studios deliver for their most important clientele. In the producer-editor hybrid role of a “preditor,” he cut promos for National Geographic Channel to spotlight docu-series talent, the Spectrum SportsNet LA campaign to promote the 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers, and web video marketing for Warner Music recording artists Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan.
Today, he blends all the experience and practice from this unique career history to enhance every project: by using the strategic messaging of a promo producer with the conceptual execution of a creative.
